Helping You Help Yourself
What the legal fields of family law, bankruptcy and estate planning have in common is that they are areas where intimate, day-to-day family and household matters are impacted by the law.
I am Richard J. Shurtz, Attorney at Law, and I practice law in these areas because I believe it is critically important for people to have skilled assistance as they negotiate the legal institutions and structures that affect their everyday lives.
Honesty, Not Scare Tactics
Some lawyers drum up business by scaring clients into believing they are powerless without an attorney. This is not my approach. I am interested in putting your mind at ease, not making you nervous.
I have been practicing law for more than 30 years, and I use that experience to deal with each client's unique concerns about the legal process and unique circumstances that require legal attention.
Going through a divorce, a child custody dispute, a bankruptcy filing or the process of estate planning can be emotional and confusing, but at the end of it all, you have an opportunity to set things right and make your goals a reality. I am here to facilitate that process.
When you need an experienced Washington lawyer, don't hesitate to contact me.
At Your Convenience
My office is conveniently located in a historic farmhouse in Lynnwood, in South Snohomish County. I serve many clients from Snohomish County and King County, and I occasionally serve clients in litigation in other Washington counties, as well. I also serve those who may not live in Snohomish or King County but have business or litigation here.
I make my schedule reasonably available to clients and prospective clients who cannot meet during regular business hours. I want to make sure you have an opportunity to get quality legal representation without unnecessary hindrances.
We are a debt relief agency. We help people file for bankruptcy relief under the Bankruptcy Code.
